Hikaru blushed when Kaori complimented him. Although this night started out a little weird and unsettling, it had certainly grown into something from a dream. Hikaru's worries slowly started to disappear as his mind wandered more and more. The Takoyaki set was delicious. Kaori was beautiful. The world was so bright, so colourful. Hikaru was in his happy place, and he actually just zoned out a bit in middle of eating a ball of Takoyaki. It had to be a dream...
Ouch. Hot hot hot hot hot! His tongue was burning from leaving the Takoyaki in his mouth. Stupid, stupid, stupid. He quickly swallowed it and asked the large man for a glass of water. With the speed of Amazon Prime shipping, the water was sitting in front of Hikaru waiting to be gulped down. Once he did just as the cup wanted, he slouched back into his chair. The ordeal was over. He looked over at Kaori, slightly embarrassed by the scene he had just put on. And he still hadn't answered her question. "Ahem. Uh... yeah. It'll be my first year of high school tomorrow..." Ugh. Hikaru was hopeless. He looked at his empty plate of Takoyaki and hoped she wouldn't address what just happened.

"Cool, cool." Kaori replied, quickly dismissing Hikaru's response. Now that she had finished her sushi, she had better things to do. Reaching into her back pocket, she pulled out her coin purse and handed 600 yen to the large man. "Is that enough?" She questioned, unsure of the prices here. The large man nodded, and placed a breath mint in front of her. This was damn good service. Grabbing the mint and standing up, she quickly bowed and left the restaurant, leaving Hikaru in her dust. He'd catch up, she figured.

It seems Hikaru was being led on. Well, that was how it seemed, at least. He watched as she left him all alone with the big burly man. He reflected on what had happened. He realized maybe he shouldn't be getting caught up with silly shenanigans in this world, but instead trying to discover the truth to it. He sat up, and started head towards the door. He didn't make it very far. It only took him a step or two to realize that he hadn't paid the man at the counter. He reached into his pockets only to remember he was in his pajamas. He didn't sleep with money on him. How was he going to pay?
Hikaru stood there, stuck between the door and the counter. He decided to just leave, and left the large man alone. I mean, what would he need with money, anyway? Also, Hikaru didn't have it in the first place. There was nothing he could do. Besides, it was just a dream. Only a moment after stepping outside, Hikaru heard grumbling coming from behind him. Uh oh. Without any time to react, the large, masked man had charged through the doorway and knocked Hikaru flying across the street. It was a solid 3 seconds of air time. Once he had crashed into the ground, he rolled and rolled until his body had reached the base of a lamp post. He was winded, and didn't have any clue what was going on. One thing was for sure, though: this could not be a dream, and Hikaru's life was in danger.

The calm silence of the dream was suddenly broken by a loud crashing sound, the sound of wood splintering. Shina nearly jumped out of her skin; she hadn't been expecting anything to happen in this dream, and an unexpected loud noise would scare the bejeezus out of anybody. Ahead of her were a couple of humanoid shapes- a relatively small one, and what looked like a large man. The large man was in the midst of a run, and she watched as he charged right into the smaller shape, sending it flying out. It felt surreal; while it had been less than a second between her looking up and the person being sent flying, it was as if she had watched it in slo-mo. After what could have been a couple seconds or an eternity, the body hit the ground and rolled until it hit a lamppost.
Before she even realized it, she was running over there. She hadn't even had the time to think about it, her body was moving on impulse; had she thought about it, there was no way she would have gone over there. This person was just a part of her dream, after all- it's not like they were really in any danger. As she got closer, she was able to make out the person on the floor's features. He was a boy, high school age, with green hair. He wasn't particularly small, either- how he had been sent flying with such ease was worrying. She had soon reached him, and got down on her knees to look him over. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked, and then turned to look at the man who had hit him. Shit. That guy was huge. Like, sure, she was a little on the short side, but this guy was almost twice her height. That was terrifying. He also looked... familiar. But this wasn't the time to think about that. The man was slowly approaching, and she turned back to the boy next to her. "Hey, if you're okay, you should really get up and get out of here. Like, right now."

There was a voice. A voice other than Kaori, calling out to Hikaru. His eyes opened and he looked around. He saw another girl looking at him, with a worried expression on her face. Hikaru tried to stand, but fell down in a spiral formation. It was all the rolling. It had made him dizzy, and because of his lack of breath, he found it hard to do just about anything in his current state. He was, however, able to see the abomination of a man walking over to him. "O-oh God! It's coming after meee! AaaaaaaAAAaaahhh!" Hikaru was in a full panic. His voice was all over the place. From high pitches to low, he had to be hitting the very limit of his vocal range. Hikaru, not being able to stand, did a backwards spider crawl until he was backed up against the building behind him. The large man still encroached, all the while Hikaru's voice went on, shouting and screaming.

"Hey, c-calm down!" It was no use. The boy was in such a state of panic that he likely hadn't even heard her. What was she supposed to do? Should she just leave the boy? Should she try to grab him and run? Or maybe... She glanced up at the big behemoth of a man. He had pitch black skin which seemed hard, like it was made of metal. He wore what appeared to be a mask, and sported a blonde, handlebar moustache. Boy did he look familiar. She stood up slowly, trembling. She took a deep breath, and then another, trying to calm her self down. Then, she slowly approached the man. "Uhm, excuse me? Hi. C-can I ask you something?" wow this was a bad idea how stupid could she be.

In the panicked state that Hikaru was in, he couldn't take his eyes off the giant. That was, until, the new girl had stepped in front of him. What was she thinking? Hikaru quieted down and realized that this girl was trying to help him. She was crazy, but call Akihiko gay if Hikaru didn't appreciate it. Since some time had passed, and Hikaru had snapped back into his senses, he stood up slowly, using the wall behind him to help balance himself. He had to do something to help this brave soul. No girl her size would ever stand up against this giant. At least none he had known. Until now, that is.
Hikaru's body was scratched and bruised from all the scraping against the ground, and he didn't want the same thing to happen to this girl. "Look out!" His voice echoed across these empty streets; every living thing had to have heard him shout. Whether she heard him in time or not wasn't the problem. THAWP! With the back of his hand, the giant had knocked the poor girl to the side, and he continued to approach Hikaru. In that moment, Hikaru fell to his knees, and fear started to flow back into his veins. What was he to do? Run and be chased? Stay and be hurt? The answer was easy. Hikaru wouldn't put his life in danger, especially if there was no reason to. The logical answer here was to run. Run, and get this giant away from those two girls. And if he can't get away? Well, it was worth a shot. With this new idea and reasoning, Hikaru was motivated. Before he took off, he looked to where Kaori was standing and told her to look after the new girl. After that, he was gone.
It only took a few seconds for the giant to start following him. Sadly, that was also the amount of time that it took for the giant to catch up. Before he knew it, Hikaru was in the grip of this iron titan. His whole body was wrapped up by its large, ebony fingers. "Soon enough," he thought, "I'll be in that titan's mouth!" He was wrong. For better or worse? Who knows. The giant's hand raised into the air taking Hikaru along for the ride. With one straight throw, Hikaru had been thrown into an office building, shattering the glass panes outside. Like deja vu, he rolled and smacked his way through the offices until he reached a stop at one of the office dividers. Hikaru was in a bad state. After shattering through the glass, he had cuts all along his body. There were even a couple pieces of glass here and there, sticking out of his cuts. Being bashed through all the office equipment didn't help either. He was battered and bruised, sliced and diced, almost to a point where he looked dead. That wasn't the case though. He had only passed out.

Kaori rolled her eyes at the scene before her. THIS was why she didn't like younger boys. If he didn't have money, he should have done the mature thing and asked her, instead of just bolting. Her senpai wouldn't do something stupid like this. Senpai is a classy guy, and would have his own money. In fact, he probably would have left a nice tip for the bartender as well.
With a sigh, Kaori looked down to the girl who had been struck. That must of sucked. "Hey, I know I was like, told to stay and help you, buuuut I'm pretty sure that kid is dead if I don't go help him. Can you just hang here for a minute?" She asked the question, not actually seeking a response. She turned quickly and dashed in the direction the tall man had gone with the kid. As she sprinted, she spotted a large stop sign on the side of the road. That'd just have to do. With a swift kick, backed by her overwhelming rage and yandere powers, she bent the signpost to a perfect 90 degree angle; perpendicular to the ground. With another quick stomp, the signpost was separated from it's smaller unbent half, and she had equipped herself with her new weapon.
Resting the sign over her shoulder, she began to sprint again until she was 5 meters from the large masked man. At this point, she figured negotiating with him was probably a moot point. What was originally a calm face, complimented beautifully by that beautiful handlebar mustache, was now incredibly angry and almost red in color. Turning to her, the man gave her a once over, and began to stomp his way towards her.
Yeah, there was no going back now. "Sorry about this!~" she winked at the angry man, before putting all her weight behind a smooth slice of the stop sign, cutting the large man clean in half.
As the two halves began to fall in separate directions, they both exploded into a black dust that quickly faded away into the air.
Resting the sign against her shoulder again, Kaori pouted a bit. Her thoughts on the sushi she had been eating moments ago, and how she would never be able to have it again.

Hikaru sat in the offices on the third floor of this building. Just below him, he heard a girl shouting. His curiosity had gotten the best of him, and sitting on his ass wasn't doing him much good. He army crawled over to the window from which he entered. While avoiding any sharp pieces of glass jutting out from the window sill, he peaked his head out and looked toward the ground. He was starting to think he was dreaming again. So many impossibles were happening tonight. Kaori, the kind, flirtatious girl that he had recently had sushi with and talked to about school was now wielding a... stop sign? Before her, there were little chunks of black, slowly dissolving. Was that, our large moustachioed friend? Well, what remained of him, at least? Of all the people to fight back, he thought for sure it would be the spunky girl who came to his rescue. Definitely didn't account for this manner of beast.
Once he had finally closed his jaw, he started waving his arms with all his strength. From below, all that was visible was his small green head sticking out a window, with little arms waving faintly above it. "Hey! Wanna lend me a hand here?" he shouted down the street, hoping at least one of the girls would hear him. The blood from his cuts had slightly dried, but waving his arms around got it all gushing again. The blood was dripping down his forearms and onto his elbows. From there, it formed little droplets that would drop down onto to the pavement, slowly creating a puddle on the side walk.

Despite the fact Shina had known it was coming and had braced herself, the hit by the large man had still managed to knock the air out of her, and she could feel her body bruising where he had hit her already. Well, that sucked. Luckily nothing was broken; the man hadn't hit particularly hard, instead just swatted her away as though she were a fly. Well, I say he hadn't hit particularly hard, but what I mean is that he didn't hit as hard as he could have; she had still been knocked to the floor, the breath had been taken out of her, and she was bruising. He certainly hit hard enough. As she was getting her breath back, she was approached by a girl, who asked if Shina would be okay on her own. Before she could answer, or even try to answer, the girl had run off. Gathering her strength, Shina slowly picked herself up off the ground, standing up. And before unfolded a scene so out-there, so over-the-top, so... anime, that it just reinforced the fact that this was a dream. In fact, this was the first time it really felt like a dream; sure, a black sky and bright building was dream-like, sure a large, muscular metal-man with a moustache was unreal, but a girl kicking down a stop sign and using it to cut said large man in half? There was no way that could actually happen in real life. No way. She was brought back to "reality" by a voice yelling out into the street. Looking up to where the voice had come from, she saw the green boy waving his arms from the second story of a large office-building. How had he gotten up there? Had he been thrown? Instead of properly acknowledging him, she looked over at the sign-post wielding fiend instead. The girl had her back to Shina, so she was unable to make out any real features aside from the girl's blonde hair. Shina actually had no idea what to do. At this point, she didn't want to do anything that would set the other girl off, considering what had just happened.

Kaori took note of the waving boy, but turned away with the flash of a scowl on her face. Boys were stupid. Walking back to the girl she had abandoned moments before, she reverted back to her normal, cheery persona. "Hey~~ Sorry about that. Do you need help up?" She held out a hand to the girl, completely forgetting about the stop sign she had resting on the shoulder of her opposite arm. "That was pretty scary, huh? I didn't think I would make it out alive, but everything turned out alright I think~"

For the first time, Shina was getting a good look at the other girl, and was taken aback. It was Nakamura, the most popular girl, perhaps not in the school, but at least in her year. Shina had never actually spoken to her before (she'd never even been in her class), but it was impossible not to know who the most popular person in your year level was. Why was she dreaming about Nakamura? Did that... mean something? Nah, it couldn't. It was just some random dream stuff. Then she realized that Dream Nakamura™ had been holding out a hand to help Shina up. Oops. "Oh, uh, thanks," she said, taking the hand and standing up, wincing as she did; those bruises really smarted. She had no idea what to say. Should she ask how it was possible to cut someone in half with a stop sign? No, this was a dream, that was probably a perfectly logical thing to happen. "That was... pretty impressive," was all she could think to say.

"I know right?~" Kaori giggled. "If I'm gonna be honest here, I wasn't even trying that hard, heheheh."
Turning back around, Kaori winced at the sight of the partially destroyed building with the stupid boy in it. "I guess we should probably go help him, huh." She grimaced. "If he'd just payed the chef, or y'know, asked him to make him a tab, he wouldn't have had this issue."

She... cut a man in half without trying. ok. Shina had no idea what to say to that. "Yeah, we should go help him," she said, and began to head over to the building. Beneath the window the boy was in, there was a puddle of blood forming. He must be hurt pretty bad.

As Kaori approached the wrecked building, she made note of the partially collapsed front wall, and opted to step through it rather than go through the front door. Making her way into the building, she located the central stairwell and climbed to the third floor where the injured boy was. Stepping over destroyed office chairs and various scattered office supplies, she made her way to the front of the building and located the injured boy. "Hey~ Sorry for making you wait so long" she lied to the boy. "You okay~?"
