Hikaru put his arms back down, and slid his body back into the building. He rested up against a desk, and waited for the girls to come help him. Soon enough, the familiar face of Kaori was looking down on him and asking about his well-being. "I've been better, to tell the truth..." Hikaru tried standing, but his injuries were too dire. He sat back down, and tilted his head back, letting out a deep sigh. "I really regret not sleeping with my wallet..." Hikaru mumbled to himself, upset with the circumstance he is in.

Before going up the stairs after Dream Nakamura, Shina opted to look around the first floor. If there had been blood pooling on the floor, the boy was clearly bleeding, and if that was the case, he would need first aid. Supposing this office building was the same as those in the real world, first aid kits should be mandatory. The most obvious place to check for those was, of course, at the front reception desk; and lo and behold, when she investigated, she found several inside one of the drawers. Grabbing one, she proceeded up the stairs to where the other two were. The third floor was a mess; several desks had been toppled and chairs were strewn about. She made her way through the obstacles and reached where the boy was lying. There was glass from the window all over the ground, and he even had some shards sticking in him. He was in pretty bad shape. "Well, shit," she muttered to herself. "Can you move at all? We should get you away from this glass."

"Good idea..." Hikaru agreed, and tried to drag himself to a cleaner part of the office. Although he wasn't able to stand properly, he was able to lumber over and sit back down without hurting himself. "I... I don't really know what to think. I mean, we aren't dreaming. We can't be dreaming. This is all too real." Hikaru was exhausted. The reality of the situation was still sinking in. What had he gotten himself into? All because he didn't pay for some takoyaki in some silly dream world he had to face the possibility of dying. "I guess we should start with taking these out." Hikaru placed his hand lightly on the glass shard in his thigh, but knew well enough not to pull it out until he had something to cover it up with.

The boy was saying something about this not being a dream, but quite frankly, Shina was inclined to ignore him. For one, it didn't seem like a very good idea to just believe everything a figment of your subconscious tells you, and for another, she was a little preoccupied with the first aid kit to really pay attention anyway. Besides, there was no way this wasn't a dream; she just had to look at her surroundings to prove it. It obviously wasn't real. She opened the first aid kit to see a variety of items: bandages, anti-septic swabs, gauze, forceps, gloves, scissors; everything that a business first aid kit would need. The problem was, she didn't really know where to start. She knew how to treat sprains and minor breaks, but she'd never treated anyone who had been thrown through a window before. Oh well. She pulled out the forceps, anti-septic swabs, and gauze, just kind of guessing at what she would need. "Neither of you would happen to know first aid, would you?"

Kaori's face lit up when Shina (OOC: I accidentally typed Shinji like three times before remembering your character's name was Shina) asked if they knew first aid. She had taken a course on it years ago, just to ensure she could help the people she cared about, but had never actually been able to make use of it. "oooh! I do I do!~" she enthusiastically announced, lowering herself down to her knees in front of the boy. "Hold on a second, and I'll get you all healed up, kay?~" She winked at the boy, and began to gather the tools she needed from the first aid kit. Grabbing the forceps and alcohol, Kaori grinned, ready to get to work. "This is probably gonna hurt a tiny little bit, kay?" Sticking her tongue out playfully, she began to dribble some alcohol onto one of the glass shards sticking out of his leg. Without any warning, she ripped the glass straight out, and replaced it with a few swabs, and wrapped the gauze around it to stop the bleeding. "Only... 7 more to go!"

"Hnnnmmh!" Hikaru winced in pain as the glass was pulled out of him. It hurt, but not quite as badly as when the glass entered his body. In fact, feeling his cut close up slowly gave him a sigh of relief. "Just keep going... I... I should be fine." Hikaru was holding his breath and speaking quietly. If he had spoken more freely, he could have ended up crying. He didn't want to leave the impression that he was a wimp, but they probably wouldn't judge him for it anyway. Hikaru's head fell back and hit the desk behind him. He closed his eyes and puckered his lips. With a faint smile, the word "next" escaped his lips. He just wanted this to be over with.

Shinji Shina should have been relieved that Nakamura had first-aid knowledge, but honestly, the enthusiastic way that the other girl was pulling out shards of glass made her feel anything but secure. Just a little while ago, this same girl had split a large metal man in half, and now she was yanking glass out of this boy's leg like it was no big deal; it was hard to feel very... safe around someone like that. Since Nakamura seemed to have the first-aid under control, Shina decided to have a look around. She made her way over to the broken window, carefully maneuvering herself over the broken glass. Everything outside still looked the same; same vibrant colours, same black sky. There was absolutely no movement out there. This was probably the loneliest dream she'd ever had. It was also probably the slowest moving one; typically dreams felt like they were moving incredibly quickly, skipping into new settings and new conversations before others had ended. This one felt like it was in real-time, which was really odd. No one was out there, and nothing was moving, so she began to walk around the cubicles, instead. Despite the fact the dream was so empty, all the cubicles had at least one framed photo inside; photos of children, newly-weds, babies, dogs and cats were abound. It looked like a typical office building, and the cubicles looked like there should be employees to belong to them, so why wasn't anyone around? God, trying to make sense of dreams was probably the stupidest idea.
((real talk we should probably... talk about what we're gonna do? how are they gonna wake up? what is gonna happen in this dream? and most importantly... are our characters gonna use honorifics when talking to each other?))

As Kaori had finally finished pulling the glass shards out of him, Hikaru slowly stood up. It had been a while, but his body was starting to feel strong again. His wounds were slowly healing and he was starting to feel positive again. Rather than thanking Kaori, he decided to walk towards the windows which he had so violently smashed through earlier. He looked outside and peered up to towards the sky. He wanted to get another look at this strange place. Why was the sky so colourful and bright, and yet the world so dark and shadowed? Hikaru was now convinced this wasn't a dream, so he had to figure out what was going on. Where were they? Were these girls real? These streams of thought were cut off when Hikaru saw it. He wasn't entirely sure what he saw, but it looked like a tear in clothing. A small rip in a fabric, except the fabric was the sky, and the rip was...? Hikaru was clueless. "Hey! Come... over here..." His words were slow, and he paused in the middle of his sentence. "Take a look at this."

Kaori stood up and threw the pile of blood-stained gauze and bandages into a garbage located at one of the nearby cubicles. When Hikaru began to make his observations, she walked back beside him and admired the weird rip in the sky. "Huh... I don't remember that being there before," she spoke, thinking closely back to when they had arrived. It was a small detail, but she was usually pretty observant of her surroundings, and couldn't remember it being there before. "What do you think it is?" She asked curiously.

Hikaru was silent for a bit, still looking up in awe at the tear in the sky. "I have no clue." Hikaru stepped backwards, and started heading towards the stairs. If he wanted to get a better look at the sky, then he would be better off outside. Assuming the two girls would follow behind him he made his way down the staircase and out through the door of the office building. Just after one step onto the street, he could tell something was different. Was it the air? The lighting? The... gravity? In just an instant, Hikaru had realized that he felt lighter. Was it the loss of blood, or was there more going on than he could see?
This entire place was just an endless stream of mysteries. Questions could be asked about nearly anything here. Questions like: "Where am I?" to "Who is this massive hulking man and how did a girl rip a stop sign out of the ground to successfully cut him in half?"
There was only, however, one question left in Hikaru's mind, and he decided to let the whole street know. "How can I get outta here?!"

As the tear opened in the sky, the world got strangely... darker. The vibrant colours around seemed to fade, and the air grew... sharp. Sharp the way it feels on a winter morning, after an overnight frost, and yet it wasn't cold. Standing on the third story of a large building, in front of an open window, filled Shina with unease; she felt far too close to that strange rip. When the boy moved to go downstairs, she let out a soft breath of relief, realizing she had been holding it in since seeing the sky. If he was going to go downstairs, that meant she could too.
When Hikaru shouted out in the street, there was an echo; slowly, doors started to open, and dark black blobs began pouring out onto the street.
