"Uh, yeah." As expected. Odd questions from an odd guy. I guess I should start somewhere, he thought. "Well, my summer's been great so far. As you can see, I got a job. And, uh, cool story about the milk. We have lots of that. Heheh. And you wanna rule the school, eh? That's, uh, cool. And I guess it is pretty nice to see familiar faces outside of school. Say, uh, I can't quite remember your name. Wanna fill me in, Gundam dude?" Lance, after responding to everything he could remember this nerd said, decided it was best to just ask for his name. That's a start.

Char thought for a moment about the question that had been asked of him. He could respond in one of two ways. He could tell this potential ally his true name, or, he could tell him his cover identity. He decided to go with his true name. "My name is Char Aznable, the Red Comet, and the future leader of Zeon."

He's crazy. Lance has no idea what utter bullshit this guy just let out of his mouth, but he knows this guy is bat shit crazy. "That's an odd name, uh, Char. Okay. Sure. I'll just call you Char." Lance doesn't disapprove of this guys ways. In truth, he thinks it's kind of cool that this guy is so weird. But he doesn't want him to linger any longer than he has to. Lance starts to scan the group of items that Char is buying, which mainly consists of Pocky. "Well, Char, that'll be $8.60." Lance tries to be nice to Char, so he decides to make some small talk. "So what's the appeal of these "Pocky" things? Aren't they just chocolate covered pretzel sticks? Actually, never mind, that sounds pretty good."

Char nodded in the affirmative. "Essentially yes, that is what they are. The combination of the crunch of the sticks, and soft sweetness of the flavor on the end makes these Japanese treats quite delectable. I highly recommend you purchase some when you get the chance, if it truly interests you, " char said, as he pulled out the $20 bill his mother had given him, and handed it to Lance.

"Yeah, maybe I will give them a try." Lance took the $20 bill he gave him, and gave Char the correct change. "Alright, Char, I guess I'll see you at school. Have a nice day." Nailed it! Lance thought to himself.

Char stuffed the change into his pocket, grabbed his stuff, and looked back to Lance. "Thank you for selling me these products. I will be sure to enjoy them. I hope you have a very nice day as well." With that, Char walked away from the counter, making a point of nodding in farewell at Callie on the way out.
Making his way home, Char imagined in his mind what the school would be like under his control. With Callie as his tactician and forecaster, and Lance as his second in command, he would be unstoppable.

And with Char's exit of the building, everything felt normal again. No strange/familiar faces. It was just his regular job. Lance felt free. All the customers were just customers. The day was back to normal, but there was still one thing that hadn't changed. He was still dying to wear his hat and watch Cowboys Versus Aliens.

Callie may have turned away from Lance, but she hadn't left, and she was close enough to the register to hear the weird-ass shit the masked kid was spouting. She had to hold in a laugh when he was talking about the "delectable" Japanese treats.
After he left, and the line had dissipated a bit, Callie went back over to talk to Lance. "That masked guy is weird, huh," she said, the amusement obvious on her face. "So, how's your job? Do you miss your hat?" For some ridiculous reason, her brother liked wearing a cowboy hat, which she didn't understand at all. It's not like he had seen Brokeback Mountain, which is really the only good cowboy movie. So romantic.

While scanning the items for his next customer, he turned and talked to his sister. "Yeah, my job is pretty sweet. I mean, it's not hard, it makes me money, so that's good. But you've got that right about my hat. I'm dying to put it on." Lance felt bald without it. Not that there was anything wrong with being bald. But it just feels weird. He turned back around and told the customer the price, got the money, gave the change, and said "Have a nice day" all in such an orderly fashion. "Hi, how are you," were the next words he said to his next customer. After the the customer replied with a dull silence, Lance turned back around and started scanning items and talking to his sister again.
"Hey, speaking of that guy, Char, I think he has a crush on you." Lance said with silly excitement, as if trying to excite his sister. "Just think, you two would probably get along really well. Maybe he plays League too." Lance knew his sister was a hopeless romantic, which was actually a secret to everyone else. But when you live with her, it's pretty obvious. The music. The movies. It's all just hidden behind her obsession with silly overly competitive games. Like, who takes pokemon seriously? Really?
Why is that a thing?

Watching her brother scanning items and being polite to customers, Callie decided that this job looked boring as hell. She was so glad she didn't have to bother with that. Even if it meant she wouldn't have much spending money.
Then her brother said that 'Char' might have a crush on her. "Oh. Oh God. Please no," she said, blushing slightly with embarrassment. "Where did you even get that idea? I bet that guy's never had a crush on anyone outside of, like, cartoons."

"Well, I dunno if you noticed, but he looked at you kind of funny like. I dunno. I still think you would make a good pair. Anyway, I've gotta work more, so you should just go do something, I guess." Lance was proud of the little romance he might have stirred up in Callie's head. However, he had to stay focused on work, so he dismissed her as politely as he could.

A good pair? What was wrong with Lance? "Well, I totally regret coming out here," Callie said. "I'm gonna head home then." Like she thought, she only spoke to her brother for about five minutes. Coming out was a complete waste of time. As she walked home, she kept thinking about what Lance had said. There was also no way in Hell that Char kid had a crush on her. No way. She knew her brother was just saying that to be stupid.
(Time skip I guess??)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~TIME SKIP ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Char slowly turned the combination lock to his locker, and opened the door. Inside was an empty slate, ready for him to fill it. In one quick movement, char swung his backpack around to the front of him, unzipped the largest of the pockets, and began to pull out a long series of gundam memoribilia. Once all of his favorite gundam models, key chains, and other items are pulled out, he reaches into his backpack once more and pulls out a small framed photo of Char Aznable, and sets it up on the edge of the top shelf so that it is visible to any passerby's. Looking over his new locker collection, he nods approvingly at his locker setup. Before finally closing the door and heading to class, he slowly removes his Char replica mask, and places it carefully on one of the coat hangers in the locker.
He does this with great resistance, mind you. It's never easy for Char to take off his mask, and when he does, it is not typically by his own choice. In this particular scenario, he took it off in fear of losing yet another mask replica to the dark recesses of the Principal's desk. Char didn't understand what the principal's problem was with the mask, but he knew it was only a temporary problem. Once he ruled the school, he would no longer have to worry about the principal and her rules, and he would be able to run things as he pleased.
With the mask safely placed in his locker, he closed the door, and replaced the lock.
With a sigh of disappointment over the lack of his mask, he zipped up his back, slung it over his shoulder, and headed to his first period class. Art.
Lance stepped into the doors of KKA. Immediately, people were greeting him, high-fiving him. Some girls would swoon at the sudden appearance of Lance. He didn't really pay them any attention. Not that he wasn't into girls or anything, he just honestly never noticed them. Lance was always a popular guy at school. He was never a jock, but for some reason he was still just as popular as them. Perhaps more-so. He liked to think it was because of his cool name. Lance. Everybody knew the name. It was either "oh, that guy, he's popular, right?" or "Oooh, he's so sexy!" and the most common was "Yeah, he's a cool dude."
After the meets and greets were done, he headed to his first class. Art. Lance never really liked any art, so he'd never gotten the art credit he needed to graduate. He decided to take grade 11 art, because that would be easier than grade 12 art, and he wouldn't have to sit in a class with a bunch of little grade 9's and 10's.
Ah, school. This was Callie's third year of high school, and first day of grade 11. She'd been to KKA both years before, and never really enjoyed the school. The teachers weren't terribly interesting, the only time the school showed any spirit was when it came to the basketball team, and, well... high school was just nothing like the movies. She'd always thought high school would be a bigger deal, like it was in the movies. More school spirit, fun excursions, awesome teachers, and, most importantly, more romance. Since she was young, Callie had dreamt of going to high school, meeting a boy, and possibly developing a relationship similar to Troy Bolton and Gabriella... whatshername. Unfortunately, the only boys she really hung out with at school were the MOBA/Pokemon nerds, which is nothing like High School Musical at all. She didn't think Kacricon Kacooler even had musicals. What a disappointment.
Her first class of the day was art. She only took it for the required credit, as she felt she had no musical talent whatsoever, and she was far too lazy to take drama. She headed over to the classroom, hoping she'd have a friend in the class to laugh about the projects with.
