Callie got down to the end of the driveway before Shaggy had even left the house. While it was tempting to just keep going, she knew she couldn't- not with a clear conscience. Even now, she was feeling guilty for just leaving the house so abruptly. Now that she was out of the house, she was beginning to think that she was being ridiculous. There's no way any of that could have happened. The doors slamming, that was just the wind, and the mysterious woman appearing was just a trick of the light, and everything was blown out of proportion because... maybe they'd been in the house too long, and had gotten some sort of high off the weed that the brothers had been smoking... or something... She was so busy reasoning this through that she didn't realize Shagworthy had come up from behind her, and she nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard the voice so suddenly. "I, uh, I'm sorry," she said, turning to face him. "I didn't, uhm, hear you. I thought I heard you say something about meeting your mom?" She was certain that she must have misheard him. Definitely.

Shaggy had to handle this carefully. He couldn't let them go just like this, he knew they'd be followed. "Yes, you met my mother, Sage," he gestured back towards the house. Oktober had crept to the door. She had a few cans of soup and pasta in her arms, in hopes that this would be enough to entice her new maybe-friends. The only sounds coming from the house now were of Scooby and the girls, murmuring. OTherwise, it was all still. Even the wind had stopped moving around the house and the leaves had slowed in their descent to the ground. Sage crawled back into the attic, burying her head in her lap and falling asleep and Rhythm snored soundly in his crib. Shaggy disregarded the stillness, and continued, "My mom isn't dangerous - I mean, like, she probably won't intentionally hurt you. But she throws tantrums when she's upset..." He looked at the house, "SHe's sleeping now. As long as we're quiet, she'll stay asleep."

Lance, recovering from his fear, slowly approached Callie and Shaggy. He overheard something about that spooker in the house being Oktober's mom. What? So this girls mom is a ghost? Does that mean her dad banged a ghost? What does that even feel like? Now Lance was curious. Was Oktober part ghost? Shaggy and Scooby as well? Oh man, this is just plain weird. Once Lance realized that he was talking about ghost-humans and banging ghosts, he shook the thoughts from his head. Now next to Shaggy and Callie, he blurted out "Your dad banged a ghost?!" I guess he never shook those thoughts from his head. Whoops.

Char calmly approached the group, a moment after Lance had reached them. "Irregardless of your 'mother's' ethereal status, I propose that we leave the vicinity and find find less haunted location for the attainment of proper nutrition." Char nodded vigorously, visibly approving of his own decision. He was hungry, and was craving Pocky and noodles something hardcore.
