The bell rang and Dora's head shot up. The sudden noise frightened her. She wondered how she would ever face a titan when the time came. She hadn't even gotten a chance to eat her bread. What a waste. She had been so immersed in a conversation the boys on the other side of the table were having about ballet. How silly, at a time like this. She stuffed some of the bread in her mouth and ran outside to join the other trainees. She was already different, she couldn't afford to let the others think that she was a liability. Hastily, she swallowed her bread, it scratched her throat and now she was choking. "No, no... I can't go like this," she thought, wide-eyed and panicking.

As Hagen was getting up to leave, he noticed this girl stumbling around in the middle of the room. It only took him a couple seconds to realize she was choking. Now Hagen doesn't care for much in the world, but dying like this was just uncalled for. He approached the girl and gave her a good smack on the back, hard enough to make the bread come flying out of her mouth. He looked her in the face and said "I don't care how or when you get eaten by a titan, but I do care if you choke to death on a piece of bread in training. Don't let that happen, it's embarrassing." And with that, Hagen continued walking out of the lunchroom with the other Trainees.

Yes, that had ti have been tge wirst thing that could happen to a person, next ti being eateb by a titan. The bread flew out of Dora's mouth. She wiped the spit from her mouth and tossed her head so that her curls wouldn't obstruct ger view as she loiked around. She spotted her savior and ean up after him.
Amelia was all ready, in her harness. Her excitement bubbled up into her throat and she hiccuped. Her sister, Gala pat her back, "gosh, sometimes its like I have two babies, Amy," she teased. "Im just so ready, " Amelia spun around, "I mean I know no one really wants to fight a titan, but I wanna beat those no-good-sons-o-bitches with my bare hands! "

As Raimund led the charge out side of the gates, he could only hope people remembered what they were taught: the area right outside the walls is most dangerous due to the buildings that titans can hide behind. An elite group of the Garrison regiment is needed to dispatch of any titans that get in the way, but when they leave the small town, the scouts are on their own. That's when they have to stick to commander Erwin's long range scouting formation (we've all seen the show, we know what this is). Red is used to alert others of a titan, then green is used to change the direction of the formation. Black is used for abnormals, and they have to be dispatched of quickly. Raimund was only two minutes out of the gate when a titan came charging at him. Raimund made a sharp left turn, evading the titan, but in doing so, he rode right into another one. Luckily members of the Garrison Regiment were keeping a special eye on Raimund and came to his rescue. With one quick slice, the titans neck was in pieces. With that titan off his back, Raimund redirect himself on the right path and continued down the road. He could only hope his scouts were just as well defended as he was.
Bianka was back on the job today, so she had to confront Klaus again. He was an MP, just like her. She wondered if he felt bad for breaking things up. It became clear to her that he didn't when he began smooching with another girl right in front of Bianka outside in the park. How rude. It was that whore, Abigail. Klaus was her 4th boyfriend this month. In an act of retaliation, Bianka grabbed the nearest guy and started kissing him. Only problem was, Bianka was so blinded by rage that she actually grabbed a girl. And so Bianka made out with another girl in the middle of a public park. Now not only was she a single loser, but she was incredibly embarrassed. "OOPS!" Bianka shouted as she pulled away from the stranger she got to second base with. The girls name was Diana Hartmann, a cute little thing, really. "O-oh, i-i-t's okay, miss." Diana was as red as fruit punch. "I'm s-sorry for g-getting in your way..." Diana moved to the left, revealing an old man staring intently at Bianka. "My turn!" He cheered in his old yet excited voice. "Get outta here you old perv!" Bianka shouted. Diana chuckled to herself and walked away as fast as she could. As a matter of fact, Bianka did too, except less chuckling and more sobbing.

Edel noticed the girl was choking, and he panicked- was there someone you were meant to contact in case of such an emergency? He looked around for an instructor, but before he could do anything, Hagen had walked right up to the girl and knocked the bread out of her mouth. He hadn't even hesitated! He must know first aid! was Edel's immediate thought, his admiration for his new friend growing even more. He was too far away to hear what Hagen said to the girl afterwards, but he was certain it was something inspiring. He stuffed his bread into his pocket, hoping he'd be able to eat it during the tour, and then ran after Hagen and the girl. He figured it would make sense to go as a group.
Urban watched the scene from his vantage point on the park bench, and his curiosity was peaked. Why would a military police officer grab and kiss a little girl? He watched as the officer yelled at an old man, and then stormed off... and... was she heading right towards him? What were the chances? As she got closer, he could see that she was in tears. Concerned (and curious), he stood up to speak to her. "Hey, are you okay?"

Hagen watched as Edelwiess and this bread-choker ran up behind him. This is gonna be a long day for Hagen...
"DO I LOOK OKAY!? God, you people are such insensitive dicks! It's just not fair! It's j-just not faaaaaaaaaaaair...." She burst into tears, even more so than before. Bianka tried to keep her cool. She really did. But after all that she'd been through? It wasn't gonna happen. Watching her boyfriend do that in front of her, making out with some random girl in public, and then having to tell off some old pervert. Now some cute guy is asking her how she felt. It was just the icing on the cake, really. Icing on a big, shitty, cake filled with bad luck. If she had met this guy on any other circumstance, she could woo him easily, but with her makeup running and in a blubbering mess, she had no chance. She looked into his eyes, and he had a genuine look of concern on his face. How could she have been such a bitch to him. "Look, I'm sorry I said that. It's just not my day..."
Diana watched as Bianka burst into tears in front of another man. Diana had no clue as to why Bianka kissed her. Maybe she was just too irresistibly cute? That's what Diana liked to think, at least. Diana approached this poor girl in an effort to comfort her. It clearly wasn't her day. "H-hey, if it's any consolation, you're a good kisser..." Diana blushed.
Bianka screamed.

Urban flinched at Bianka's scream. It was just so loud and startling. He wasn't really used to dealing with such emotional outbreaks, and so he didn't really know what to do. "H-hey. Why don't you take a few deep breaths, calm down, and maybe tell us what's wrong?" he asked her, keeping his voice as calm as possible. He had no idea what could set her off right now. He'd never seen anyone in the military police act like this before; weren't they meant to be calm and collected, so they could keep the peace? He looked around to see if there were any other officers around, worrying that if they saw her in this state, she might lose her job; luckily, it didn't look like there were any. "Do you maybe want a drink of water?" he had a water bottle in his lunch bag which he hadn't opened yet, and if it could help calm her down, he was okay with parting with it. He could just buy another one later.
Come on, Sera, you can do this. It's just like training. Except, you know, you were less likely to get eaten during training. Sera thought to herself, as she used her 3D maneuver gear to fly through the streets, between the buildings. It was incredible how quickly one could move with the gear, and the feeling of flying through the air and the momentum was comforting. That is, until she saw a titan right in front of her, just standing in the street. "Shit!" she yelled, quickly turning to avoid it. God. Oh God. That was the first titan she'd seen, and by god, it was ugly. Its face had a contorted grin, and its eyes bulged unnaturally. It had a pot belly that drooped down and covered its genitals; though if what she'd been told in training was true, it didn't have any genitals anyway. When she turned the corner, she saw yet another titan ahead of her, facing the other way. The back of the neck was unexposed. Before she could latch on to the thing's head to strike at the neck however, a big blonde man came flying past, cutting the titan's neck as he passed, never losing momentum. It was incredible. It was terrifying. Why the hell was she here.

Cut after cut, the titans were falling one by one. The main group of scouts was nearing the exit of the small village. "Form up, everyone! Prepare to enter long range scouting formation!" Raimund shouted to his allies. Raimund awaited for his troops to enter the formation, and when he was in the right position, he would move out. Raimund's leading officers, Wenzel and Heidi, rode up next to him. Wenzel and Heidi were his top scouts, and he trusts them with his life. He has become so close to them that he has told them the secret to the burn marks on his right arm, something he has never been able to tell anyone about before. He was happy to have them at his side for these long missions.
Bianka realized how unprofessional she looked in front of everyone. She quieted down and wiped the tears from her eyes. She took the water that Urban had offered her and glugged it down in one swig. "Aaahh..." She breathed a sigh of relief, and gained regained her conscience. "I've been having a bad week. My boyfriend dumped me, and then made out with another girl in front of me. My friends have been fighting all week, and I swear nothing good has come out of it! They even cancelled a party that I bought a REALLY expensive dress for. I mean, like, it's such a nice dress and it's a shame I won't be able to wear it. Also, Ingrid was being a real bitch to me yesterday trying to prove that her dress was prettier, but she's such a liar! I just can't stand her. Oh my god, did I mention that Irene is pregnant! She such a whore she doesn't even know who the dad is! What a joke! Like, I remember wh-" "STOP!" Diana stopped Bianka before she got out of control. Or maybe she was too late. All that matters is that she stopped talking. "S-sorry, I didn't mean to shout..." Diana was ashamed of yelling so loudly in public, but she couldn't stand hearing any more words coming out of Bianka's mouth. "Let's just start with your name, shall we?" Diana asked, trying to restart the whole conversation.

Bruno launched himself into the air using his newly-repaired odm gear. The moment he rose above the rooftops, he spotted the titan intruders and pulled his blades out of his harness. The air rushed around his head and stung his eyes but he kept them open as he fell fast above a titan, he rose the blades over his head and sliced a perfect, giant pie slice from it's neck. There was no time to let himself fall completely tp the ground because another titan had decided that Bruno looked especially delicious. Bruno kicked himself further into he air, and flung himself over the next titan. This was becoming routine.

Wow. This officer had a lot on her plate. "Sounds like you have it rough," Urban said sympathetically, before turning to the small girl. Names sounded like a great idea. "Yes, let's all introduce ourselves. My name's Urban," he said, holding his hand out to Diana for her to shake. (He would hold his hand out to Bianka afterwards.)

Emmerich had ridden through the town with most of the other scouts. There were a few unlucky ones who had to keep the titans off the rest of them with the Garrison while moving through the city, but now that they'd reached the outskirts, the others should be catching up with them any minute now. Emmerich had been in charge of leading the extra horses, and God, that was stressful. Horses didn't care much for titans, and it was a chore to keep them from getting spooked and running off.
Sera saw that most of the scouts had reached the outskirts of the town, so she figured that meant she could go down and join them. Very few new recruits were assigned to kill the titans in the city, but she had volunteered as an effort to be seen as useful in the eyes of her superiors. She hadn't actually managed to kill any titans, though, so she really hadn't proved herself at all. She descended to the ground to join the others, finding a spare horse to ride. Now they were going to do the... long range scouting formation. Oh God. The name sounded so familiar. They'd gone over it a hundred times in training. But she could not, for the life of her, remember what it was. She turned to the nearest scout, a blonde man who was watching the horses intently. "Uhm, excuse me... do you know what the long range scouting formation is?"
Emmerich was startled to be spoken to, and even more startled that this girl didn't know what the long range scouting formation was. It was the most important thing a scout could learn, other than a titan's weak spot. She's clearly new, he told himself. "We're going to spread out over a very large area, with the commander in the middle. If you see a titan, use the red flare. You see a green flare, it means the formation is changing direction. You see an aberrant, use the black flare, and work with the others to dispose of it. That's basically it." "Ooh. I remember that now. I can't believe I forgot," she smiled at him sheepishly. God, this was not a good day for her. Her self-confidence was quickly plummeting- she couldn't believe how useless she was. "Thanks for the help," she said, before riding off. Emmerich watched her go. There was no way someone like that would survive very long in the Corps, not if they'd already forgotten the most important titan-avoidance tactic. It was a shame, really. She was pretty. But that's just how it goes.

Engel had been legitimately excited when he had been informed that he would be going beyond the walls in the 54th expedition. Leaving the walls behind was a recurring dream he had had since he was a child. He had heard rumors of a vast body of water that tasted of salt, and the boats that would venture across it. Realistically, he knew in his mind that there was probably no such thing, but he had to see for himself. Alongside his best friend Mina, Engel joined the military in hopes of seeing what the world truly had in store, and this mission, he believed, would be his first taste of what the world truly had to offer.
On the day of the expedition, Engel had just finished double checking his 3D Maneuver gear, when he had been informed that there had been a slight change of plans, and that he was being moved from travelling through the town with the majority of the scouts, but would instead be responsible for fighting off any titans in the area that could be a potential risk to the success of the mission. He was also informed that this decision had been made a result of abilities. Engel had grinned, and happily accepted this new position. He was pleased that his ability was being acknowledged and used as a helpful resource to ensure the success of the mission.
As the mission began, Engel quickly took off with the rest of the scouts, flying between buildings and keeping a watchful eye out for titans. Almost immediately, as they left the gate, Engel spotted a 7 meter class titan that had begun slowly walking towards the main scout party. With a puff of gas, Engel latched onto a building within reach of the titan in order to get close to the target, and then detached, before latching onto the back of the titans head and in a swift arc, flew around the backside of the titan, taking a clean slice out of the back of its neck as he flew. Continuing on with his motion, he latched onto another building and continued on with the rest of the scouts.
Engel cheered to himself at his success, and turned his head to look back at the titan he had just taken out. He could see it's body steaming, and already starting to disappear. He felt pride in himself, and his confidence was boost-- SMACK!
Engels head snapped forward when he felt his motion come to an abrupt stop. In abject horror, he stared up at the monstrosity that had caught him in mid-air. It appeared to be a 15 meter class titan. It's over-sized, bleach white teeth stared back at him. He could feel its fingers tighten around him, crushing the 3D maneuver gear against his body. "No..." Engel whispered to himself. "It can't yet! Not now! Not like this!" he yelled in defiance, staring the titan straight in the eyes. The titan's smile seem to grow even wider, as if it was amused by Engel's resistance to the situation. It's mouth opened, and Engel groaned in pain as the titan grip tightened even more, as he was brought closer and closer to its mouth. Tears rolled down his face, as Engel realized that this truly was the end for him. He had so many dreams about seeing what the real world was like and now he would never get to--
The titan closed its mouth again and grinned down at the beheaded body in its hand, before throwing the rest of the body into its mouth, finishing the job.

Diana gladly shook Urban's hand and introduced herself in the process. "I'm Diana Hartmann! Nice to meet you, Urban." Watching as Urban's hand moved towards hers, Bianka blushed. "I'm Bianka Marcellus of the Military Police." Bianka always said this with such confidence. Being a member of the Military Police was her pride and joy, besides that new dress she bought. "Nice to meet you two, and stay out of trouble. I have to get back to work. Have a nice day!" Bianka walked off, back in her work mood. Diana looked to urban and said "She's quite the odd one, isn't she?"
Hagen continued with the tour, Dora and Edel at his sides. "And this, recruits, is the training ground! Here you will practice hand-to-hand combat! I, personally, can't wait to watch you thrash each other about like animals!" The commander's voice must be getting sore after all this yelling. The insults were nothing to Hagen, but as he looked around he could see some other trainees that looked highly uncomfortable. It never struck Hagen how weird it was to be practicing hand-to-hand combat. He realized instantly that the selfishness of his fellow allies would need to be dealt with. It was the humans, after all, that were the real threat.

As Raimund waited for the troops to start marching towards the Hawken District, he watched as new recruits were killed, one after the other. Even the most skilled trainees were no match for the jaws of a titan. It made him sick. Watching as the greenhorn's bodies were crushed under the pressure of a titans teeth, their faces showing only one thing: the realization of the cruelty of the world they live in. Their eyes show the deprivation of everything they missed out on in life. Their mouth hanging wide open, showing a scream of true terror. Their eyebrows showing their everlasting hatred for the titans. And if they don't realize how cruel the world is, even in the jaw of a titan, then they are lucky. Raimund had seen these faces all too many times, but they never phased him less and less. Each and every death made a large impact on him, and every life he saw taken just fueled his motivation even more. Or at least it used to. He was getting sick and tired of all the meaningless deaths now. The formation was now almost in it's final shape. Raimund rode off, heading in the direction of the Hawken District with his trusty friends at his side, Wenzel and Heidi. He looked at the burn mark on his right arm, and in remembering it's origin, tears swelled in his eyes. That burn mark was the only motivation he needed to fight the titans.

The trainees were gathering in a barren yard. Just beyond a hill, there were sad farms that could not quite yield enough crops to satiate everyone's hunger. The air was stale and dry. Amelia licked her lips. She knew the most of the boys and some girls were staring at her and her sister. She stretched her arms up and then bent down to tuck her fingers under her ankles, just a brief glimpse of her flexibility. Gala rolled her eyes and checked her that blouse was modestly buttoned up all the way. "You always make such a show of yourself," Gala whispered to Amelia, who was stretching her arms back into the air and stood just straight enough that you couldn't help but stare at her chest. "Oh hush you, don't stomp all over my fun, old lady," She stuck her tongue out and winked at her twin. Gala moved to playfully punch Amelia, but she'd dodged it just in time, causing Gala to fall and then the two were a mess of limbs on the ground. Now, they were a show. "Take her shirt off!" someone yelled from in the crowd of trainees. Gala was furious. Amelia laughed and pulled her sister to her feet.
Dora wished she could give less of a fuck what people thought of her. She saw the twins as she reached the yard.

Urban waved bye to Bianka, and then turned to Diana. "Yeah, that was... interesting," he laughed, "So you've never met her before? She just grabbed you and kissed you without you ever meeting before?" That was just so strange, and Bianka had left before he could ask why she had done it.
Eike walked into the training yard and looked around. It was a wide, open expanse, which was far bigger than they needed with such few trainees. Why did they even need to practice hand-to-hand combat, anyway? Before she could ask someone, however, a fight had broken out between what seemed to be... twins? It escalated quickly, and they ended up on the floor in the blink of an eye, while all around there were cat calls from the audience. Eike had been in fights with family members back when she lived with them, but she'd never had a fight in public; her face grew red with second hand embarrassment.
Edel watched the girls with concern, and when they stood up he rushed over to them. "Are you guys okay?" he asked. They didn't seem to be hurt, but he had to make sure. Maybe they were just confused after the instructor had said that he couldn't wait to watch them 'thrash each other about like animals.' "I don't think we were meant to start the hand-to-hand combat yet!" Edel informed them.

My scout characters got into place in the formation I guess?? (idk how to RP this)

Amelia laughed, "Yes, yes, we're okay." She pulled her sister's face close to hers and kissed her on the cheek. Gala was still fuming. She hated being the center of attention like this. The moment Amelia's lips touched her cheek, she squeaked and pulled back, again they both fell to the ground. Gala scrambled underneath Amelia who had her pinned. "Momma's gotta up her game, eh?" That was it. Gala kneed Amelia in the gut. Amelia lurched forward, shocked by the sudden impact and grabbed Gala's wrists. Gala didn't lose any time in grabbing a handful of her sister's hair and pulling. "You ho!" they screamed at eachother, but Amelia was still laughing.
