Hagen watched with fear. He watched, in his mind, as the trainees were eaten one by one in the middle of titan territory all because two stupid girls were wrestling and distracted everyone. Was this the glimmering hope humanity had against the titans? Is this REALLY how people act, knowing that humanity's future is at stake? That was it, then. The humans were hopeless. Not that it worried Hagen, of course. He knew it would happen, ever since he watched his parents getting killed by their own kind. Despicable, this world was. These titans, eating creatures until their near distinction. How different are they from humans? Human's have wiped out entire species for food as well. What was the difference? The titans had a wall to jump over to get to their food? It makes him sick. "Good practice, girls. Now, would you mind doing push-ups till sunset? Ahem, I mean sunrise?" Keith Shadis kept his cool despite the despicable behavior he had just witnessed. He calmly told Amelia and Gala to do push-ups until morning. "IS THAT CLEAR!" He blew his cool right at the end. Oh well, it got the message across loud and clear.

Diana blushed when Urban asked her about the kiss. "N-no, I've never met her before..." Diana was absolutely bewildered at the thought of being kissed in the public by another woman. "Why do you think she did it, Urban?"
Bianka returned to work, AKA walking the streets of Wall Sina. MP work wasn't really work. On occasion, she would catch sight of a criminal offense, but it was only petty theft or a small fight. Later that day, Bianka heard news of her friend's party being back on! Yes! Now she can wear that lovely dress!

See red flares, shoot green flare. See red flares, shoot green flare. This was Raimund's job for the majority of the trip, and of all trips, to be exact. As boring as it sounds, anything beats being near titans. Since their path was a straight shot to the Hawken District, the ride wasn't as long as most. The formation was estimated to arrive there in another hour. "What do you think we'll find, Raimund?" Wenzel asked, curious as to why his commander chose to come here. "The hope is we find supplies, my friend. If there are any, we'll have to clear the streets of most titans in order to secure the supplies." "Yes sir." Wenzel replied aptly. Raimund was proud of his friends. They were great soldiers, attentive listeners, wise strategists. Raimund couldn't have asked for better allies. It was them that kept him alive throughout these expeditions.

Gala's chest was heaving. She didn't have time for this. Her sister didn't understand what it was to have actual responsibilities and have someone to answer to. She thought about the blonde little toddler waddling around on the farm above the hill. Josef was supposed to help plant seeds, but was having better luck when he tried rounding ducks up into their pen. He fell into a pile of hay, squealed and ran right back the way he came. He couldn't get in trouble if no one knew it was him. He laughed because he was so smart. Oh my god - chickens. He ran and almost caught one before he fell on his face. THat's a bad bad bad chicken. Why didn't it want to be his friend? Josef knew he was a good hugger. His mumma told him so. He would hug that chicken. But then he forgot as soon as he saw that the nice farmer lady had served lunch. He loved lunch. It was his favorite meal, except for breakfast, dessert and dinner, as long as it wasn't steamed vegetables.
Gala glared defiantly at Shadis. There was no way she could stay to do push-ups, of all things. The farmers only agreed to watch him until dinner time, no exceptions. They had their own young children to look after, and teenagers training to leave as scouts soon. She pushed Amelia, and brushed herself off as she stood. Amelia followed her lead, scared that she hadn't noticed an authority figure approaching. They both did the salute at the same time. Gala, half-assed and seething, Amelia, wide-eyed and faking compliance.

Cecilia observed the brawl between the twins, and laughed at the comical nature of their fight. She had seen the two around before, but had always been unsure about what their deal was. Cecilia looked around at the people in the crowd near her, when she noticed Hagen watching the fight as well. She had seen him around as well, although she had never talked to him. From what she had gathered, he was a rather introverted person, and had a tendency to try to keep things that way. Deciding to be spontaneous, she calmly walked over to Hagen, coming to a stop when she was at last standing at his side. Nonchalantly, Cecilia lightly elbowed Hagen in the ribs to get his attention. It was more of an elbow poke, really.

Yew could only watch in horror as he witnessed his friend being murdered and devoured by the ruthless Titan. Engel and him had gotten incredibly close over their years as trainees, and had always stood at each others side, helping the other when they most needed it. Seeing his friend die like this, he could feel his blood starting to boil. Swiftly jumping off the horse that he had previously been riding, Yew pulled out the blades from his 3D Maneuver gear, latched onto a nearby building, and took flight towards the titan that had killed his friend. In a rapid series of movements that would make even the most skilled of scouts jealous, Yew bounced off the head of the titan with a single foot, and used his momentum to doing a front flip off the back of its head, and quickly turning into a top-like 360 spin, as he sliced through the back of the titan's neck. Feeling satisfied with what he had done, Yew regained his composure, and made his way back to his horse, that had gathered with the rest of the squadron that was beginning to form into the long-range scouting formation.
(I'm not sure how well I described him killing the titan, but I tried to make it as accurate and understandable, based off of what I was imagining in my head. Basically, he pulled some epic Levi shit.)

Despite all the clamour of homes being torn apart, rubble falling to the earth, and that deafening titan roar, each human scream pierced the air. Bruno, who was face down in his own blood and spit, pushed himself back up, nearly slipping. He felt the air suddenly tighten around him - a titan was about to squash him. He summoned all his strength, rolled over onto his back, and he was airborne again with the help of his odm gear. A mess of shingles followed behind him as a titan smashed the roof, collapsing the entire house. A baby shrieked from inside, and that was it. Bruno couldn't bring himself to let this family die, not like this. He adjusted his harness and flew into the air, crying out for the pain. He was stinging all over. He brought his blade down, and plunged it into the titan's eye. It showed no sign of pain, and moved to swat at him. Bruno's legs ached as he lunged forward, narrowly avoiding being squished. The titan hit itself in the face and sent itself backwards. THe baby's cries from inside were slowly weakening. It couldn't go like this. FOrward again, Bruno commanded himself and yelled, wordlessly at this heartless creature. Finally, he found himself on it's stupid neck and cut another slice of pie, before falling 8 metres to the ground.

With the scouts left, Zsigmund ordered his officers to close the gate. He didn't get to do that very often. When Wall Maria still stood, he would open and close it for travelers, supplies, and the occasional scout group. But now, it was always for the scouts. Every time he heard screams and death beyond the walls, and it brought fear to his mind. He had still never seen a titan. He can't imagine they're a nice sight, judging by the screams...
Hagen watched from the side of his eye as a girl slowly walked up to him. Thinking about the two morons behind him, ballerina-boy and bread-choker, he was worried if the girl would be the third idiot to follow him around. "Am I really that charismatic?" Hagen thought to himself. She was finally at his side now, and before he could react she tapped his ribs with her elbow. "Unf." Hagen twitched. He wasn't prepared for human interaction. "What do you want?" Hagen gave her a stern look and only hoped she could back-up her elbow with something worth while. Shadis grabbed each twin by the head and pulled them off the ground. Their half-assed salutes weren't making their situation better. "You think butchering the salute is funny, recruits? You think being a smart ass is gonna save you from the jaws of a titan? They won't spit you out when you tell them that you don't taste good!" Shadis was extremely pissed now. It was one thing to interrupt his tour, but to openly insult the salute... Unforgivable. And he thought potato girl was bad. At least she made him laugh. He threw them both to the ground simultaneously. "PUSH-UPS NOW! AND NO FOOD TILL MORNING AS WELL! IF YOU GIVE ME ANY MORE SASS, I'M KICKING YOU FROM THE TRAINEES!" Shadis was really pissed.

Cecilia giggled, "You don't need to worry, I'm not gonna bother you." she assured him. "I've just noticed that you seem to be pretty observant, and was wondering if you knew what the deal was with these twins. I've seen them around, and they're unusually... vicious... with each other."
----------
Yew rode his horse to the front of the formation, and stopped when he was at last riding alongside Commander Lothar. "Commander!" Yew yelled out louder than he had intended. "New recruit Engelram Feirefiz has fallen to the titan's attack. I went out of my way and avenged his death." he announced. Yew was unsure as to why he felt the need to go to the commander to tell him this, but he felt as if it was something he needed to get off his chest.

Urban thought about it. Bianka had been speaking so fast when she was telling them about her life, he was having a tough time remembering what she'd said. "Well, she said something about her boyfriend dumping her, I think..." that was right, wasn't it? "Maybe she was just so desperate that she just had to kiss you? You're pretty cute, maybe she couldn't resist."
smooth.

"I'll tell you what their deal is. They're gonna be eaten within the first few minutes of encountering a titan. One will say," and with Hagen's best girly voice, he said ""Oh, I'll get it! It's mine, sis!" The other will say "No! It's mine! I'm gonna kill it!" They will both strike for the nape, assuming they can use the ODM gear with skill. Their blades and bodies will collide, sending them straight to the ground. "It was your fault! I told you it was mine!" "No! You interrupted me, whore!" And so the cat fight starts. The titan turns around and looks at the two on the ground in a tangled mess. It grabs them both at the same time, and gets a tasty double-meal. That's what their deal is." Hagen ended it there, without realizing how loud he was talking or how embarrassing his girly voice was.
--
If Diana was blushing before, she was REALLY red now. Urban just called her cute. "Y-you think I-I-I'm cute?" Oh my god. Was Urban leading her on? Many boys had shown interest in Diana, but none as attractive as Urban. What did he mean by "Maybe she couldn't resist?" If Bianka couldn't resist kissing her, what's stopping Urban from kissing her! Is he resisting right now? Before things got out of hand between the two, Diana decided to head home. "Y-you know what, I should really be going. I have to help my parents prepare for dinner. Bye!" And with that, Diana ran off in the direction of her house, with a big dumb smile on her face.

Raimund wanted to tell Yew that he needed to get used to seeing his friends die, because that was the truth. Instead Raimund said "Excellent job, scout!, but keep in mind that you can't revenge everyone. Too many people will die on this mission to avenge, and we can only hope one of them won't be you. What's your name, sir?"

Cecilia's eyes widened. She couldn't have imagined in a million that this was the response she'd get from Hagen. She just wanted to know if he knew anything about the twins, and what she got instead was the most passionate and comedically morbid response in existence. This guy didn't fuck around. Cecilia laughed to herself for a couple seconds, over the situation she had placed herself in, before responding to Hagen. "Well, I suppose it could prove to be an issue later on," she spoke, "but you have to keep an open mind. We've basically just started our training. I'm sure those two will figure out their issues before going out on the battlefield."
----------------
Yew didn't know what response to expect from the commander, but he was relieved that he didn't get yelled at or reprimanded. "My name is Yew Archimbald, sir!" he answered. "I am aware that we cannot avenge all of our fallen allies, but I could not bear to see that Titan live to see another day. Not when it could continue to slaughter our people."

"I suppose that's possible. Maybe I am too quick to judge, but we'll see when we get out there. Unless, of course, they plan to join the MP. Cowards. What do you want to go into?" Hagen asked Cecilia. He was, believe it or not, slightly interested. This girl didn't seem to be making a fool of herself and wasn't annoying Hagen. Still, though, can't afford to make friends when they're gonna be eaten the next day.
--
Raimund was glad to hear Yew's response. He sounded like a proper soldier and a good person, willing to fight for humanity. "It's good to have you with us, Yew! Now do me a favor and stay alive! We can't afford to lose any more men this close to the Hawken District. The most important part of the mission is coming up, and I want you, along with Wenzel and Heidi here, to look for supplies within the District. Once you think you have found a sufficient amount, one of you will shoot a green smoke flare into the sky. Is that clear?"
--
Diana returned home, without any success of wiping the smile off her face. "I'm hooooome!" she shouted, her voice echoing across her house. She looked into the kitchen and saw her mom washing the dishes. "Why do you look so happy today, dear?" her mom asked. Uh oh. Diana's face flushed red at the thought of being kissed by Bianka, and in her mind, Urban. "U-uh, it's n-nothing mom..." Diana stuttered to her mom. She never stuttered to a family member unless she had something to hide, and they all knew it. It was theoretically impossible for her to lie to her family. Her mom gasped, as she just knew what had Diana smiling. "You have a crush on another boy, don't you! OH! I've been waiting for this!" Diana's mom was always so confused by Diana, being liked by boys but never liking them back. "Who is he? Is he cute? What's his name? Does he have a job?" The questions went on for a couple minutes, and none got an answer. "MOM!" Diana shouted, interrupting her mother's questioning spree. "You have the wrong idea, I just met some funny people, that's all..." Diana denied her little crush on Urban, and instead brought up the odd tale of Bianka, minus the kissing. Diana spent the rest of the day doing housework, and had a lovely dinner with her family. They weren't her real family, but she loved them as if they were.

It took every ounce of restraint Amelia had not to roll her eyes at Shadis. She had to be a scout. She was just having fun, being used to always being the center of attention. She got down on her hands and knees, lowered herself til her face was only a centimetre from the ground and then lifted herself back up with ease. Then she stretched her long legs out so that she was doing proper push-ups and continued, pacing herself. This redundant crap would be worth it in the end. Gala was slower to start her push-ups. She forced herself not to look at Shadis because she knew her eyes would give away the fact that she had no intention of remaining there til sunrise. Gala struggled more to lift herself up; her hips were wider and her boobs were bigger than Amelia's. She was already out of breath from fighting Amelia off of her, but tried to hide it.

Urban watched as Diana left in a hurry, confused. He honestly had no idea why she left so quickly. Had he embarrassed her? Well, whatever the case, he was alone now, and it wasn't really lunch time anymore; instead of going back to sitting on the bench, he decided it might be better if he went home and studied. ... Or he could go shopping somewhere and post-pone studying for as long as possible. I think we all know what the better option here is.
--
Push-ups until morning? But it was just after lunch time! That was just ridiculous! Edel watched as the twins began doing their push-ups. He wanted to tell the instructor he was being too harsh, it was their first day, it was a small argument- but he knew if he did, he'd have to do push-ups too, and the girls might have to do more because Shadis would blame them if Edel spoke up. So instead he walked back over to where Hagen and that girl who had choked on bread were... and now there was another girl there too! This group just kept getting bigger! "Hi!" he said to the group. "Can you believe they have to do push-ups on their first day? And all night, too! That's so ridiculous! Not only that, but they can't even eat anything... they'll probably be sick tomorrow... Oh!" he realized that he was being rude, he hadn't even introduced himself to the girls yet! "By the way, I'm Edelweiss, Edelweiss Aufwiedersehen! And this is Hagen!" he gestured to his new bestie. "What are your names?"

"I want to join the Garrison," Cecilia answered. When Edelweiss showed up, Cecilia gave Edel a curious look. She'd heard about this guy. She had heard that he was always a bit too talkative, and always seemed to be excited about something. Based off of what she had just observed, she supposed what she heard was true. Taking it all in stride, Cecilia smiled and reached out her hand to Edel. "My name's Cecilia Sonje. Nice to meet you!"
---------------
Yew smiled proudly. He was glad to be accepted by the commander. "Understood sir!" he responded.

Over the horizon, Raimund could see his destination: the great Wall Maria. The men at the front lines ware either close to the wall, or digesting in the belly of a titan. As Raimund and his allies came closer to the wall, they saw the open gate waiting for them, and the sun was starting to set. It had been a long day on the rode and it was only half over. Raimund estimated that by the time they returned to Wall Rose, it would be morning. If they were fast, they could get the supplies and leave before it got too dark. For safety reasons, Commander Lothar had to revise the plan. Once the troops arrived at Wall Rose, he would have to give them the new briefing on the mission.
Raimund made it to the wall, and watched as the front lines held off against any titans while waiting for the Commander. "Everybody, time is running short! I have revised the mission plan, so you all better listen up. We aren't so interested in looking for supplies, but killing the titans! Once everybody has entered the Hawken District, my men will close the gates! Because we have less time than planned, we are going to stay the night! This is why killing them is of utmost importance! If any are left alive, we could become a late night snack! Over the course of the night, we will be scavenging for supplies, but only when all or most titans have been dealt with! Now, form yourself into squads of 5 and let's move out!" As stupid as this plan sounded, it sure beat riding home in the dark of night. One might think that exploring in the night is better, due to the fact that titans are less active, but those people are wrong. The titans may lie down, or stop moving, but this only allows them to get the jump on you. All in all, it's best to stick to the known rather than the unknown. The assault on the Hawken district has begun.

"I'm Dorathea," Dora said quietly, "and I wanna kill all those no good sons of bitches." This likely sounded odd, coming from someone so tiny and feminine. She was even wearing a bow in her hair today.
It was close to supper time in the castles of Wall Sina. The maids were scurrying here and there, stumbling over their skirts and catching nearly-dropped-dishes, but they got their job done. They were happy to have such safe, secure work. Even their parents were guaranteed safety, as long as they had ties to the castle. The upper levels of the castle contrasted the circumstances of the busy lower-level. The politicians who lived here moved slowly, and with little purpose. Often, those whose positions in parliament were only ceremonial, would simply vegetate in the one room with a bottle of beer and cake, humming happy tunes and wasting their days away. At this exact moment, while waiting for dinner, Anja was painting. It was of her baby daughter, sleeping away in her crib. A maid tended to the infant whenever she stirred, but it was otherwise quiet. Her boys were out, probably playing with the princes, but what mattered was that they were not in her way. There was a knock on the door of her parlour. She signalled for a maid to open it quietly.
