Yew gave Jeena a hesitant and doubtful look. Everything she said came off as seriously dubious. "I hope you realize that the gate is closed, right? No titans are going to get in or out, thus there's no need to protect it." Yew shook his head. "Come with me, scout. We need to be killing titans, not sitting around watching gates inanimate object." With that, Yew dismounted from his horse and swung himself to the roof of a nearby building with his 3D maneuver gear. When he reached the top of the building, he turned to where Jeena was, and waved for her to follow him."
Cecilia, having already dismounted from the training arch, stood on the sidelines and watched with curiosity as Edel managed to convince Hagen to stand with his arms outstretched. What the hell was he planning on doing to the poor guy?

Edel's face lit up with excitement when Hagen decided to comply. Oh, but what would he do now? Hagen didn't have experience with this kind of thing, and Edel had never done this with someone who wasn't very small. He'd been thinking of maybe doing a shoulder sit- it would be easier to keep his balance that way- but he wasn't sure he'd be able to support Hagen, especially not while he was dangling from a harness. He decided that lifting Hagen they way he would lift someone for a grand jeté would be the better option. Not very impressive, since Hagen wouldn't actually be doing the jeté, but it'd be safer. "Okay, keep your back straight, and try not to worry," he said, and placed his hands on Hagen's waist. One, two, three, and on the count of three, he hoisted Hagen into the air, feeling the strain on his abdomen. Ah yes, keeping balance like this was much more challenging.
--
Emmerich looked to see the two titans approaching, and then nodded at Raimund. He knelt down so that Wenzel could wrap his arms around his chest, and then he lifted him on his back, grabbing hold of his legs in a piggy back position. Then he used the maneuver gear, moving only a short distance at first, to adjust to the new weight on him. He didn't have time to dawdle, though, and he used his gear to get to a rooftop, Wenzel's foot hitting the edge of the roof on the way up. Emmerich'd have to adjust his trajectory better than that.

The moment Edel's hands made contact with Hagen's waist, his eyes widened in a terrified manner. With a large gulp, Hagen gritted his teeth and prepared for the worst.
--
Jeena stared at this guy, thinking about what she would do. Reluctantly, she dismounted her horse and took to the air with her maneuver gear. She was heading towards Yew, but instead of stopping near him, she overshot and went flying 6m in the air. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Jeena screamed. She was now falling 10m to the ground. In an effort to save herself, she shot her hooks at random, hoping they would save her. One landed to the left of her, the other to her right. When she propelled, she found herself suspended in the air, held by her maneuver gear. How dumb she looked, not only her position, but her facial expression as well. It looked like a mixture of relief and terror at the same time. "Well, this is what I get for trying..." she mumbled to herself.
--
On a more serious note, Raimund was left by Emmerich to deal with two titans. Just 7m classes, pretty basic. Walking past the mangled corpse of Heidi, he approached them slowly, allowing himself to be consumed by anger. He stopped and switched his blades out for new, sharper ones. Raimund Lothar let out a loud roar, with a tone of depression and a tone of anger. He then shot past one titan's ankle, slicing it to make the titan fall to it's knees. He hooked up to the other titan's neck, and on the way up he cut a large chunk out of it's nape. When the titan fell to the ground, Raimund waited for the right time to zip across and get the other titan's neck. Once the two were dealt with, he shot up to the top of a tower, and he saw a war. Titans lunging and eating soldiers. Soldiers slicing and dicing titans. All the while, the sun set in the background. It was like something out of a movie: beautifully scenic, but also gruesome. He turned back and headed in the direction Emmerich took Wenzel. Raimund had to know how he was doing.

Yew's jaw dropped in utter amazement at the spectacle before him. Who in their right mind allowed this girl to join the scout corps? Yew knew that people often joked about the scouts being titan food, but he never thought he'd meet a scout that could actually be considered as such. The fact that this girl had survived this long was a miracle. Fortunately for her, there weren't any titans around at the moment, and if there were, he would deal with them. "Are you alright down there!?" Yew shouted down to her. "Do you need any help getting up?"

Edel lifted Hagen into the air slowly, in order to keep his balance. The other boy was a lot heavier than what Edel was used to, and the fact that his feet weren't touching the ground didn't help. Gosh, this was difficult. Much more interesting than trying to balance alone, though. He was doing well... but when he saw the instructor was watching, he lost his focus. "Oh no," he muttered, feeling that dread you get when you're losing your balance and know you're going to fall and there's nothing you can do about it. And he tried to regain his balance- he really did- but it was too late, and he fell back, hitting his head on the ground and also dropping Hagen.
--
Emmerich did as the commander said and carried Wenzel back to the gate. He landed on a rooftop nearby, and placed the man gently down, looking him over. He really didn't look good; the gaping scar on his stomach looked terrible. "We're going to have to take your shirt off to look at that wound," he said, and looked around to see if there was anyone nearby who could help. Which is when he saw a young scout dangling helplessly nearby. They were too far away to really see any of their features, and Emmerich hesitated to call out to them. What help would a scout that couldn't even use their manuever gear be?
(so much writer's block)

Anja was trembling. Whore! This stranger dared to slander her good name. She was a powerful woman with influence and dignity, yet here she was, her hand raised to the man in front of her, ready to knock that beard off his face. The man was quick and grabbed Anja's wrist, and the other one before she had a chance to strike him with either. "Let me go or I'll scream, you freak!" Anja grit her teeth, pushing against her offender. A moment ago, he was across the room insulting her, and she flew at him. Now, their faces were inches apart, his breath on her cheek. "Then scream, I dare you," the man teased, moving himself closer to the king's whore. Anja looked around to her maid, petrified and useless, standing against the wall, then at her sleeping baby. Her body went slack, and her voice wavered, "Please, my daughter is asleep. Don't do this." THe man grinned, making her knees weak. "Then talk to me. Quietly," he put a finger to his lips, but kept his other hand near hers, trailing his fingers in her palm.
---
Dora was all strapped into her harness. It took her a few falls onto her face, but she was finally in the air, her legs dangling beneath her. She was euphoric until she saw Hagen and Edel, very literally hanging out without her. She pouted a little.

And then it happened. Hagen was lifted off the ground, and in the next couple of seconds, was falling back down to it. Edel was falling back in the gear, and Hagen went down with him. When Edel hit his head, Hagen flopped back over Edel, doing a somersault at the same time. Not a graceful one, for the record. He tumbled and fell down, face first in the dirt. "Shit." He mumbled under his breath. Hagen slowly pushed himself to his feet, and dusted the dirt off of his white, breezy pants. "Mother of Sina, Edel. What were you thinking?"
--
As Jeena spun around slowly, she saw the world turn and turn. It was upside down, of course. She looked down, err, up to Yew, and said, with her voice breaking, "I'm fine! Just... help me get down from here..." Jeena hated it when she had to be helped by others, which was generally all the time.

Yew noticed Emmerich land on the faraway rooftop, out of the corner of his eye. He turned and squinted to make out who it was who had landed. He didn't recognize him, but he appeared to have another soldier with him. It would probably be a good idea to head over there and see if they needed any help. Jumping off the rooftop, Yew latched onto the wall nearest to where Jeena was dangling. Reaching up, he tugged the hook out of the wall, resulting in jeena dropping as a result of the slack, sending her swinging towards the opposite wall.

Jeena was unaware that Yew had just pulled her hook out of the wall. She was busy trying to pull herself up. The next thing she knew, her butt slammed into a wall, and she fell to the ground. "Huh. Who does that guy think he is? I swear he's in a world of hurt when we get out of here..." Jeena mumbled to herself. After getting off the ground, she launched herself up to were Yew was, successfully this time. "Uhh, back to killing titans, right?"

Yew shook his head. "Nope. We need to go check on those two first." Yew pointed to the two men on the faraway rooftop. "One looks hurt, I think. We should just go make sure they're alright, and then we can go back to the mission." With that, Yew took off into a run, and jumped between the rooftops, towards the men. Luckily for him (and Jeena) the buildings were close enough together that use of the 3D maneuver gear was unnecessary, as long as one could jump far enough.

Jeena nodded and followed Yew. When she arrived and saw what had happened to Wenzel, she gasped. The large red gash across his stomach was only slightly hidden behind the white cloth that covered it. After getting a good look at him, she turned away and waited for Yew to start a conversation. She wasn't very keen on talking to dying people.

Emmerich tried to pull Wenzel's shirt up, but it was sticky with blood, and had kind of dried to his wound. Didn't look like they could remove it the easy way, so instead, Emmerich pulled out one of his swords, and carefully began to cut at the fabric, delicately, so that he wouldn't cut the other soldier by mistake and end up making the whole situation worse. Once he'd finally cut away the shirt, he was left with the big, gaping hole in the man's stomach. Blood had dried around the wound, but he continued to bleed. Emmerich wasn't really trained in first aid, so he wasn't quite sure what to do; he took some of the clean fabric of Wenzel's shirt and placed it over the wound, applying pressure to stop the blood flow. He knew how to do that much. When he heard the sound of feet landing on the building, he looked up to see two other soldiers. One was a young man with... silver hair... and the other was a young woman... with pink hair?! Was that natural? What were the chances that both of these soldiers would have such unnatural, anime hair?! ahem, I mean... Emmerich totally did not get distracted and was relieved to see others. "Are either of you familiar with first aid?"
--
Edel grimaced as his head hit the ground. That hurt. Now he was sort of upside down in the harness, and he watched as Hagen did a somersault and fell face first into the dirt. At first he was concerned, but when his firend got up and seemed no worse for wear, he began laughing. "Oh man, that was fun!" he exclaimed, unclasping the harness and letting the rest of his body fall to the ground. "I almost had it, too! We'll definitely just need to practice!" He got up off the ground. Boy, did his head hurt, though. "Hagen, that was a pretty cool somersault you did! You must be trained in gymnastics!" His sarcasm was nearly untraceable.

Hagen laughed. He did. He actually laughed. The small grin on his face only lasted a few seconds, but nonetheless, Hagen showed some form of emotion other than the constant pout that sits on his face. "Practice that? Cool somersault? Trained in gymnastics? How ridiculous," Hagen thought to himself. He walked past Edel to join the crowd again, patting his back along the way. "Keep dreaming, pal." Hagen told him.
--
"Oh trust me, you don't want me performing first aid. I'd probably end up, well, uhh, blowing him up, or something." Sure, Jeena. That was a thing you could do. In knowing she was hopeless, she turned and looked to Yew. "I mean, if anything, I can go find someone who is?" Jeena did want to help, and in this case, the only way to help was to get someone else to do it for her.

"I know first aid," Yew volunteered. Kneeling down beside the injured man, he examined the wound. Despite the initial look of severity to the wound, in reality it wasn't actually that deep. The bleeding had already soaked through the cloth that Emmerich applied. Thinking back to his first aid lessons, he remembered that the cloth should not be replaced, but rather reinforced by more cloth. Yew proceeded to take off his shirt, and ripped it up into appropiately sized pieces. While this left yew without anything covering his upper body, it didn't really bother him as the clothes didn't really offer much protection anyway. He applied the new cloth to the wound and applied even pressure. "This should be sufficient for now. You had the right idea." Yew took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly. "He's going to need to see a doctor though. He could run into some serious issues if we don't get this wound disinfected and properly treated."

Emmerich watched the other man work, but he remained on edge, keeping an eye out for titans. Luckily, it seemed like there weren't many left- the corps had taken most of them out by now. "Wait, a doctor?" Emmerich grimaced. He had been worried that would be the case. "There aren't any doctors out here, and we can't take him back now," he said. The sun was already setting, and it was far too dangerous to travel at night. Even if titans were known to be less active in the dark, it was a risk that they couldn't take.
--
Edel went back to join the others, too. It was starting to get dark, so the tour was pretty much done. They would probably be going for supper soon, and then to bed.
